Chartered Alligator Hunts
Hunters may choose to apply for their own resident or nonresident Alligator Trapping License and alligator harvest tags. The cost for obtaining a resident Alligator Trapping License and alligator harvest tags through FWC application is $271.50, and nonresidents pay $1,021.50. The permit allows the taking of two alligators from an assigned region. Fees are nonrefundable. Tags and permits are nontransferable.

Guarantees that the agreed upon hunt date is reserved. The deposit is non-refundable with the exception of "Acts of God" which prevent the scheduled hunt, in which every effort will be made to reschedule at the earliest convenience of the client based on date availability.
$52.00 Alligator Trapping Agent License
$275 Deposit per hunter per nightis required for all resident and non-resident hunters. It can be obtained by phone or over the internet right up to the time of the hunt. Camp David Hunt Club will gladly assist clients with the purchase arrangement for the trapping agent license.

Camp David Hunt Club provides professional guide, airboat transportation and equipment for a number of regions using hunter obtained permits. If additional hunters will participate on the same permit, the licensed hunter must be on the boat and the participating hunters must obtain an Alligator Trapping Agent License. Please be advised that available dates for the first phases of the season fill rapidly.
EQUIPMENT
Camp David Hunt Club provides harpoon, bang stick, cross-bow and arrows, buoys, and/or fishing pole. The hunter may choose to use their own equipment. It is recommended to discuss the use of personal equipment in advance to ensure that it meets regulation and is adequate for the taking of alligators.
NO FIREARMS PERMITTED on the Florida State alligator hunts! The use of firearms other than bang sticks and gig-equipped bang sticks is prohibited from sunset to sunrise by regulation of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, with the exception of private land alligator harvesting.
PROCESSING
Camp David Hunt Club provides transfer of harvested alligators to the processing facility. Processing fees vary based on size of gator. Estimated rates based on last year’s prices are reflected below. Complete processing of hide and head usually takes 2 - 3 days from delivery receipt at the processor. For hunters’ convenience, Camp David Hunt Club keeps a quantity of frozen packaged alligator meat on hand for ready transportation.
Processing includes:
• meat (cubed, packed and vacuum sealed in 2.5lb packages by USDA licensed facility)
• hide (defatted, scraped, salted, and rolled)
• head (ready for transfer to taxidermist or cold shipment)
Estimated fees are subject to current market rate: Under 9' - $25.00/ft, Over 9' - $35.00/ft
U.S. shipments of alligator meat, hides, heads, and finished products can be arranged at an additional fee.
